Tell us a bit about your story, what lead you to your current career path?

My lifelong love affair with weddings started out as a high school dream. This, however, quickly evolved as I pursued a career in the industry throughout college and beyond. From rentals to planning to catering, I have a diverse experience and have touched every corner of the industry. And that led to my role as a multifaceted thought leader for event professionals everywhere.

Inspired to start my own business, I received my MBA with a focus in entrepreneurship. And quickly put my degree to work and launched Urban Soirée® in 2017.

As owner and lead wedding consultant of Urban Soirée, I have the privilege of planning once-in-a-lifetime celebrations with couples in New England and beyond. My heart beats for intimate, ethereal, and timeless celebrations. All while striving to make the planning experience entirely stress-free in the process. 

Our award-winning company delivers elevated and romantic celebrations. Through full-service wedding planning and design for couples on the East Coast and destinations worldwide. When I am not busy bringing my clients’ dreams to life, I am committed to providing quality education to the industry through my podcast, The Confetti Hour. That is where I share insight and foster candid conversations with experienced wedding creatives. My devotion to the future of the industry extends to my role as President of ILEA Boston. As well as my passion for one-on-one mentoring with the next generation of planners.

What inspires you in the business and daily life?

In daily life, I am inspired by living an intentional, authentic life. I love to help others and create joy surrounding milestones or the everyday experiences with both my business and life! As a wedding designer, I am inspired by the old world romance of New England and far flung destinations, especially in Europe!

What trend do you see picking up in the world of weddings?

One main thing for instance, I see a shift to more intimate guest counts that allow couples to really invest in the details and guest experience.

Tell us a bit more about what you are currently working on?

We are working with our sweet couples who have been impacted by COVID-19 to rescope and dream up new visions for their wedding days, as well as bringing on new couple’s for 2022. My team and I have been branching out into more destination work as well, so that is something I am so excited for!
