As Danielle recalls with a laugh, “I had a few too many glasses of wine and started singing at him from a window. It scared him off at first, but thankfully, he found me on Facebook the next day. We met up and have been inseparable since.”
What started as a spontaneous connection quickly blossomed into a love story for the ages. After 11 years of love and laughter, Kofi decided it was time to take their relationship to the next level. “He finally decided to put a ring on it (he knew his time was up),” Danielle jokes. The proposal was nothing short of magical. Amid the challenges of COVID-19 restrictions, Kofi planned a surprise getaway to the Maldives just before Danielle’s birthday.
“We stayed in the most beautiful hotel and I didn’t think the trip could get any better until one night, we were picked up and taken to the beach. I had no idea where we were going,” Danielle said.
“When we walked round the corner, the space was perfectly lit up. There was a pathway of tea lights that led up to a giant screen that had a slideshow of all our favorite photos. At the end, the last photo had a caption that read, ‘Will you marry me?’ It was magical! The evening was perfectly planned, we had a private chef make us a three-course dinner, whilst we watched my favorite movie, Love & Basketball, on the beach—a moment I will never forget!”

Danielle looked radiant in her mermaid body-fitting gown adorned with delicate lace and intricate beading. She wore a long veil which was personalized with embroidered initials and lace at the trim.
All her bridesmaids wore the same champagne gold dress combined with pearl earrings, matching the bride!
Kofi kept it classic in a tailored white and black tuxedo. The couple exchanged heartfelt vows as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden glow over the proceedings.
While all his groomsmen wore the same black suit, black high-gloss shoes, and a bowtie matching the Groom!

The evening unfolded with laughter, dancing, and heartfelt speeches. The party then moved to the elegant ballroom where the couple had their first dance, followed by the DJ who kept the dance floor alive until the early hours. One of the highlights of the night was the surprise fireworks and the cutting of the cake.
