The story from Athanasios from Happy Bride and Groom
A friend of mine called while I was on my way from Santorini Island to Mykonos, from one wedding to another! That was a year ago. He explained to me that his wife’s goddaughter would like to book me as her wedding photographer.
He never told me how remarkable and fun person Sofianna is and this applies also to her fiancé … well, husband now…. Ilias! That was for them to know and for me to find out! I got a first taste from the couple’s quality after meeting Sofianna’s exceptional parents!
As Sofianna and Elias are UK residents and more specifically from London. We met when they came to Greece for Christmas holidays (unfortunately, last year I did not have the chance to visit my beloved city).
Church and Venue
The ceremony was held at the historic small church with Byzantine architecture “Moni Vlatadon”.
Family and group photographs after that and just 30 minutes available to fulfil the “wedding portraits” photo session. I still have the impression that this was done with just one breath!
“Allegro” was waiting…..well, guests at Allegro were waiting to be exact but you know what I wanted to say!! This beautiful venue is at the top floor of Thessaloniki’s Music hall 2.
That was a VERY windy day and everybody was wondering if it would be wise to have the reception outside. Above all, if the fireworks would be able to go off and if the videographer’s drone would be able to fly! However, Lazaros (Sofianna’s father) kept calm and cool and reassured everybody that the wind would go down at 21:15 and guess what…… that is what happen!!
Everything ran smoothly and as expected!! The couple had no anxiety and continued to have fun all the time! The venue justified the expectations and the wedding planners “Motif events” made sure to have everything organized in perfection!
May I take the opportunity to wish to Sofianna and Ilia to have the same energy and big smile for the rest of their lives!! Best, best, best wishes!!!
