Stylish White and Champagne Gold Destination Wedding at Le Ciel Santorini
Naomi & Ashley celebrated their stylish destination wedding at Le Ciel Santorini. Their White and Champagne Gold Wedding colour scheme fitted perfectly with the beautiful views and natural backdrop of Santorini and guess what? They DIY-ed it! So, let’s see that this bride decided to DIY her ultra-chic destination wedding in Greece!
Tell us your love story! How did you meet? How did he propose?
We met as teenagers as we lived in the same town. We both moved cities but remained friends whenever we would go back to our town to see our families. However, seven years ago we decided to go for food and drinks in London and we have been inseparable ever since.
Then, two years after our first date, Ashley proposed on a stunning beach in Mexico, which was very romantic. He told me we had a photo session booked on the beach, but when we got down there it had my name written in the sand with gorgeous red shells, saying “WILL YOU MARRY ME?” And of course, I said YES! The evening was magical with champagne and a romantic dinner on the beach. But what made it even more magical was that later on that evening, we both saw a lucky shooting star!
Tell us a bit more about your wedding planning process
After visiting Santorini we decided that this was where we wanted to get married. I joined a group on Facebook called Santorini Brides. This was so helpful! It allowed me to do a lot of research on different vendors. I spoke with many real brides with real reviews and first-hand recommendations for vendors. This helped a lot as I knew I wanted to do most of the planning myself. I used Le Ciel’s in-house planner for the coordination of the day. But sourced everything else myself using that group. I would recommend it to future brides for any advice or help with planning your dream day in Santorini.
Describe your wedding day! What happened at your stylish Wedding at Le Ciel Santorini?
Our wedding was at Le Ciel Santorini. It was literally the most magical day from start to finish. We viewed around 4 venues but Le Ciel was definitely our favourite by far. We loved the elegance of the venue. The classy white decor and design alongside a breathtaking view of the Caldera. We opted for all-white flowers which were used for the full gazebo floral decoration, the aisle, the top table, and the centerpieces. We also had the gorgeous white blossom tree over our main table and fairy lights that looked incredible when the sun went down.
After visiting Santorini 3 times, we knew that this would be the place we would get married. The day was absolutely amazing! We had an intimate wedding ceremony, sunset photo shoot, and cake cutting, followed by our first dance with fireworks and the party afterward. We had 85 guests at our wedding and they all haven’t stopped talking about what a fairytale it was! The gorgeous sunset, floor fountains, and fireworks just topped off the day, our guests were mesmerized.
What did you wear? Describe your wedding dress and Groom’s attire
My dress was a beautiful, elegant backless dress with diamanté straps from Enzoani, it featured gorgeous lace panels. Ashley, my groom chose a champagne damask print suit jacket that oozed style and class. The bridesmaids wore stunning champagne-colored dresses with a low-back design. These colors looked amazing against the white decor of Le Ciel and the white flowers we had chosen. We chose the song: Rotimi – “I Do” for our first dance, where the floor fountains and fireworks began. It was just magical.
