Giannis & Georgia were planning to have a religious wedding this year. However, as many couples, they had to postpone it due to the pandemic! They have decided to postpone their wedding so they can celebrate with all of their friends and family!
Here you can see their pre-wedding engagement shoot, which they might not opt for otherwise! And boy are we happy they did, as the results are absolutely, romantically breath-taking! And what about that gorgeous sailing yacht ride into the sunset which made this the most magical engagement?!
Tell us a bit more about how you met and how did he propose?
Our story begins on the beach, as we are both unconditionally in love with the sea.
It was August the 7th of 2013 when I went with my friends to Saint Pauls Bay in Lindos for a swim. This bay is located under the Acropolis of Lindos in Rhodes and it is considered a highlight of the island!
While I was enjoying the sun and the view of the Acropolis reflecting on the pristine waters of the bay, I saw him coming out of the water wearing his scuba diving equipment. From the moment our eyes met we both knew. I approached him and asked, if I could try scuba diving with him. He answered that I should definitely try it. We ended up chatting on the beach all day and then we arranged to meet again. We had our first date in Lindos town where we went out at night, and from that moment on, we are together.
Sometime after that, he proposed while we were having dinner in a seafood restaurant by the sea. While we were having our dinner it started raining but the night was so magical that we didn’t mind so we continued having our wine in the rain!
A bit later we decided to enjoy the night sky at the beach. I turned for a bit to take some pictures when Giannis hugged me and gave me the ring! He said “you can start planning our wedding, this ring is now yours.”
It was such a magical moment which we will never forget. That is the reason why we decided to have the engagement photoshoot by the sea as well. We wanted to look at the pictures while reminiscing this beautiful moments of our love.
What about your wedding plans?
And then Covid- 19 pandemic happened! We remained calm and positive in hopes that until the day of our wedding everything might be fine. But that was not the case of course. It was just a month before the wedding that we decided to postpone it for next year. We made this decision because there was a limitation on the number of the guests we could invite and time limit on the venue was until midnight.
Now we are planning for our wedding (fingers crossed) to happen next year in September 2021 at the same location. The ceremony will be at the chapel of Saint Paul, where we met and the wedding party on a beautiful garden on the beach.
This photo shoot was an unforgettable experience for us, we simply loved every minute of it. It was the most magical engagement shoot we could have asked for. Having such an inspiring photographer and our friends present at the location of the photoshoot made it really special.
