“Lyanna and Stefanos met when Lyanna took a spring holiday around Greece a few years ago. They’re both free souls, happy roamers and open sky lovers, who have a crush on the wild beauty of Northern Greece and its warm people. As Stefanos is descended from Northern Greece, they decided to travel back and have their engagement shoot here, so they contacted me. We clicked right away, and I was certain that I wouldn’t have to go scouting for the perfect location, since I had just the place to fit their wanderlust goals. So, we took to a natural deer reserve up in Dodoni, a 10-minute car ride from Ioannina, where a wooden cabin on a glade is corseted by thick conifer forestland.
We came up with a concept that portrays everything this lovely couple is about. We suggested several local vendors for their setup and contacted the super-talented florist Alexis Papaxristos to arrange their blooms. Several exotic flowers like Proteas, eryngium, crocus, craspedia, cortaderia, physalis, brunia, leucospermum, eucalyptus, and Veronicas were used for an utterly charming bouquet for the bride-to-be and the couple’s overall decor. The Arts of Colors, a local wood artisan created an amazing hand-painted table for their decor and the wonderful Art de la Table was handpicked at Interni Oggi by Christos Plastiras, who also styled the decor of this shoot.
We set up a tent at the clearing and created a magical mountain-hill scene, infused with several whimsical details. We were all thrilled by the results. These two are their own wonderful tribe, I loved their style and super positive energy and can’t wait to shoot their upcoming wedding which will also take place in Northern Greece next year.”
