WEDCHELLA – FUN CHIC REAL WEDDING IN ATHENS WITH AFTERPARTY ON THE YACHT
This ultimate Weddchella wedding was out of this world! This super fun couple decided to have the party of their life and tie the knot in Greece!
This Wedchella themed wedding ended with partying and sailing across the Mediterranean. The couple and their closest friends took a week for island hopping in Greece and partying on the yachts! And you need to read this story!
Carrie and Kevin have a shared love of attending festivals together. As friends, they attended San Fermín in Pamplona, Spain to run with the bulls. Then it was at Coachella where they first confessed their love for each other. Ultimately, Kevin surprised Carrie with the proposal at Tomorrowland in Belgium. When they started planning the wedding, they knew it needed to center around an experience they can share with their family and friends.
WEDCHELLA THEMED WEDDING
Carrie and Kevin didn’t know much about Greece. They’ve only been to Santorini, but they fell in love with the breezy way of life; the fresh tomatoes, great wine, beautiful cliff sides and sea view left them wanting more. Once Greece was decided, the first order of business was to find a Wedding Planner who understands who they are as a couple and can think outside the box. After they spoke with Bobbie from Sand + Lace, they knew she was the one. “Bobbie is easy-going, resourceful, and creative. She was there every step of the way” says Carrie.
The Wedchella theme incorporated many beautiful elements. As guests arrived to Ble Azure in Athens, they received colorful wristbands welcoming them to the ceremony. There were string lights hanging over the tables. The tables were filled with baby breath clouds. The clouds were spray painted in color to give it a whimsical look.
If you have been to Coachella, you’d know there is no Coachella without Do-Lab. Likewise, you can find a tented area “I-Do-Lab” where guests gathered to create flower crowns. At night, the double arches at the ceremony area lights up in neon colors – providing a focal art piece. From the most epic dance party to light-up cotton candy, every detail was thought out to bring the guests the taste of a Festival.
THE YACHT WEEK PARTY AFTER WEDCHELLA
The wedding was just the beginning of the celebration. After a beautiful night with family and friends, they set sail on the Aegean Sea with The Yacht Week. With 25 friends and 3 yachts of their own, they were ready to kick start the new chapter of their lives. They danced away at the Love Bay in Poros. Circle-rafted in the middle of the Aegean Sea. Rode on ATV around Ermioni and beach hopped like no one’s business. Splurged at the Nikki Beach Resort. Dressed up for a regatta race. Partied from day to night with their best friends. It was never-ending excitement and Greece provided the perfect backdrop to do it all!
At the end, The Yacht Week was the ultimate experience and something they’ve wanted to do for a long time. Imagine a week-long escapade with your friends on yachts, sailing along the sea and partying till dawn. The Greece route provided the balanced tempo with beautiful islands, exploration, amazing food and parties. It was a destination they knew everyone would be excited for.
