When Instagram Influencer Gets Married in Greece #Instawedding
What happens when Instagram influencer couple, Taisia and Gabriel, who travelled the world, decide to get married in Greece?
Well one thing is certain, the final result is like from a postcard!
Read the story how this Instagram influencer travel couple got married in Greece in 2020 during this pandemic! They were planning to get married in May 2020, when the Covid-19 changed their plans! However, Taisia and Gabriel, who are well versed in travel, did not want to wait and postpone to 2021! And they are glad they didn’t!
Taisia, how did you two meet?
It was a funny story. We met when my best friend hit Gabriel’s car in the parking lot. My friend was too nervous and scared to talk so she sent me to solve the problem and explain what happened. I was 18 years old back then. I went to college in a different city and we’ve reconnected after almost 9 years, in 2017, when we both lived in Bucharest and we’ve been together ever since.
How did he propose?
Gabriel surprised me with a “birthday gift” – a trip to Dubai with my best friends in order for us to skydive together. He jumped first from the airplane and waited for me with a huge banner, many emotions and a ring!
OMG that sounds wonderful! But, tell us more about how you decided to get married in Greece and what happened on the day?
We knew we wanted a small religious ceremony and Greece was the perfect place since we wanted an Orthodox Church on a beautiful island. Crete was our chosen island for the religious ceremony and Santorini for our after wedding photo shooting and honeymoon.
On the day, we woke up in a beautiful pool villa near Kournas Lake with our family and closest friends. We had a beautiful religious ceremony in small church near Heraklion Port and took a sailing boat to celebrate with our loved ones. The sea was not our best friend that day because it was windy so we’ve decided to continue the party at the villa.
I wore two dresses. On the day a white Rhea Costa Bridal dress and a light blue, Privato Dress for day after shoot with the Casa Dei Light Blue Stiletto Sandals. Like Greece, the theme of our wedding was light blue and white where our guest wore white too! Gabriel wore a Personal Tailor dusty blue jacket and white pants. Our song for the first dance was Ed Sheeran – Thinking out Loud. Secondly, we chose Minoas Luxury Villas at Kournas Lake and the Church of Saint Nektarios for the ceremony. We wanted to keep our wedding day as simple as we could. My favourite detail was having our loved ones by our side.
